Regenerative Cell Therapy Treatments
Regenex Asia manufactures six distinct cell therapy products in our cGMP-certified laboratory in Kuala Lumpur — each designed for different conditions, different mechanisms of action and different clinical goals. From mesenchymal stem cells that promote tissue repair to engineered T-cells that target cancer, every therapy we produce is manufactured under pharmaceutical-grade quality controls and backed by clinical research protocols.

Explore Each Therapy in Detail
Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) Therapy
MSC therapy uses mesenchymal stem cells derived from umbilical cord tissue to support tissue repair, reduce chronic inflammation and promote regeneration across multiple organ systems. Unlike autologous stem cells harvested from a patient's own body, our allogeneic MSCs are sourced from ethically donated umbilical cord tissue and manufactured to Passage 2 purity — the gold standard for cell viability and therapeutic consistency.
At Regenex Asia, our MSC products are manufactured in-house under cGMP conditions and undergo full quality testing — including sterility, viability, endotoxin and mycoplasma screening — before release. Every batch comes with a Certificate of Analysis.
MSC therapy is our most widely applied treatment, supporting patients across conditions ranging from joint degeneration and chronic wounds to hair loss, neurological conditions and age-related decline. It is also the foundation of our anti-aging and longevity protocols — the most requested treatment category among our international patient base.
Key Applications
- Anti-aging and longevity
- Osteoarthritis and joint degeneration
- Chronic wounds and limb ischemia
- Hair loss and alopecia
- Neurological support
- Diabetes and metabolic health (investigational)
- General tissue repair and immune modulation
Natural Killer (NK) Cell Therapy
NK cell therapy is an immunotherapy that harnesses the body's natural killer cells — a class of immune cells that can identify and eliminate cancerous or virally infected cells without prior sensitisation. At Regenex Asia, we expand and activate therapeutic-grade NK cells in our cGMP facility, producing a concentrated, high-potency product for clinical use.
NK cell therapy is applied in two primary areas: oncology, where NK cells are used as supportive immunotherapy for select blood and solid cancers, and virology, where NK cells support immune reconstitution in patients with chronic viral infections including HIV and hepatitis B.
Unlike CAR-T therapy, NK cell therapy does not require genetic engineering of the patient's own cells, which makes it more accessible, faster to deploy and associated with a lower risk of severe immune side effects such as cytokine release syndrome.
Key Applications
- Blood cancers (supportive immunotherapy)
- Solid tumours (investigational, supportive)
- HIV immune reconstitution
- Hepatitis B immune support
- General immune system strengthening
Exosome Therapy
Exosomes are nanoscale extracellular vesicles naturally released by cells during communication and repair processes. In regenerative medicine, exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells carry bioactive molecules — proteins, lipids, RNA — that can promote tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation and stimulate cellular repair without transplanting live cells.
Regenex Asia manufactures cGMP-grade exosome products purified from our MSC cultures. Because exosomes are cell-free, they carry a different risk profile to live cell therapies and can be applied across a wider range of aesthetic and regenerative applications including hair restoration, skin rejuvenation, joint repair and neurological support.
Exosome therapy is one of the fastest-growing areas of regenerative medicine globally. Our exosome products are available both for direct patient treatment and as a supply product for aesthetic clinics and dermatology practices.
Key Applications
- Hair restoration and alopecia treatment
- Skin rejuvenation and anti-aging
- Joint repair and osteoarthritis support
- Neurological and brain health support
- Wound healing and scar reduction
- Aesthetic clinic applications (B2B supply)
CAR-T Cell Therapy (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell Therapy)
CAR-T cell therapy is one of the most advanced immunotherapies in modern oncology. The process involves collecting a patient's own T-cells (a type of white blood cell), genetically engineering them in a laboratory to express a chimeric antigen receptor that recognises specific cancer cell markers, and then infusing the modified cells back into the patient to seek out and destroy cancer.
CAR-T therapy has shown significant clinical results in certain relapsed or refractory blood cancers — particularly B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and multiple myeloma. At Regenex Asia, our cGMP facility supports the manufacturing of CAR-T products with the quality controls, sterility assurance and cell processing infrastructure that this highly specialised therapy requires.
CAR-T therapy is not appropriate for all cancers or all patients. It carries meaningful risks including cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), which require specialist medical management. Our medical team works with referring oncologists to assess eligibility and manage the treatment journey.
Key Applications
- B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL)
- Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL)
- Multiple myeloma
- Other relapsed/refractory blood cancers (case-by-case)
CIK Cell Therapy (Cytokine-Induced Killer Cell Therapy)
CIK cell therapy uses a population of immune cells — expanded and activated ex vivo using cytokine stimulation — that have an enhanced ability to identify and destroy tumour cells. CIK cells share characteristics of both T-cells and NK cells, giving them a broader range of tumour-targeting capability.
At Regenex Asia, CIK therapy is manufactured in our cGMP facility and applied as a supportive cancer immunotherapy — typically alongside conventional oncology treatments rather than as a standalone intervention. CIK therapy is often considered for patients who are seeking immune system support during or after conventional cancer treatment.
Key Applications
- Supportive cancer immunotherapy
- Immune system strengthening during oncology treatment
- Post-treatment immune reconstitution
PRP With Exosome Therapy
This combination protocol pairs platelet-rich plasma (PRP) — concentrated from the patient's own blood — with stem cell-derived exosomes manufactured in our cGMP facility. The result is a treatment that combines the growth factor signalling of PRP with the regenerative communication molecules carried by exosomes.
PRP + Exosome therapy is primarily applied in aesthetic and regenerative contexts: hair growth stimulation for patients with androgenetic alopecia or diffuse hair loss, skin regeneration and rejuvenation, and wound healing acceleration. It is one of our most accessible treatments and is available through our network of partner clinics across Malaysia and the region.
Key Applications
- Hair growth stimulation and alopecia treatment
- Skin regeneration and anti-aging
- Wound healing and scar reduction
- Aesthetic rejuvenation
